Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day!!

I am seeing more fathers involve in children’s growing up. More fathers are carrier-ing kids. (Which I am doing now, carrier-ing my son to sleep while writing this post). More fathers have date out with their children allowing mothers to have their “me” time.

I remember when I have my first born, I see my wife healing from the delivery pain, breast feeding, exhausted from adjusting her hormones and life with a new life. I told her I felt I couldn’t help much other than bathing, feeding and pat my child to sleep. She said, “You have done a lot, by standing by me and giving the support that all you could.” That sentence touch me. There I learn father is a support figure. Support the family physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. Often than not, father are humble and silent contributor.

This day is not just about celebration. It is also about reflecting back what our father or a fatherly figure has taught us in our life. If you are a father, how has this fatherhood been? How has it change your life thus far? How can you improve on this marathon fatherhood journey.

Mother bring child to the world. Father bring child to see the world. Have you shown your child the world? Not literally, but developing in character, values and critical thinking.
