Developments starts from the family. There is a saying, "It takes the whole village to raise a kid". How the kid is raise is determine by the up bringing like value, culture and beliefs. This is very powerful. Just like for example festive seasons, traditional practice were pass down from generation to generation. This could also means that value, culture and belief which are good or bad is being past down and the generation might not even know why they practice it, just because their parents say so.
There is a story about a fisherman will keep the small fishes and throw away big fishes back to the sea after he caught it. When ask him why, he said that my mother's pan is not big enough to fried it.
How the next generation going to grow is base on the parents/guardian mentoring and guidance. They are the compass. Lack of it and it will have a lot of wasted route travelled. We need to learn before we can teach. Are we ready to learn and adsorb new knowledge and potentially grow to the better version of ourselve?
